Tap Handle #18: Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat - Cherries with Wheat Stalks

This tap from Sam Adams is a beauty. The cherries are colorful and the base has sculpted wheat stalks. There is an updated version of this tap with a red base containing lettering instead of the wheat stalks. Personally I prefer this one.

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is described as a sweet, fruity beer that was introduced in 1995 as a seasonal summer brew but was popular enough to become year-round. The cherries are added during two different points of the brewing process: once during the mash and then again during finishing. Weighted average on ratebeer.com is 2.78 out of 5.
