Tap Handle #22: Anheuser-Busch - Bare Knuckle Stout
This is a nice tap that has an old-time feel to it, from the bronze bare-knuckled boxer to the old-fashioned label.
Created by Anheuser-Busch in 2008, Bare Knuckle Stout was their attempt to try to take some market share away from Guinness. While many reviewers say such efforts from the big breweries are to be encouraged, most of their reviews found Bare Knuckle Stout to be a poor imitation of Guinness. Weighted average on ratebeer.com is 2.58 out of 5.
I'll have a more detailed post about Anheuser-Busch in a later post.
