Of all the taps I've posted so far, this has to be the top tap when it comes to female beauty. It is just stunning, with great, detailed sculpting and beautiful colors. It is also extremely rare, since I've only seen one other besides mine and the beer is a limited offering. As an extra bonus, it's for a lambic beer, which are one of my favorite beers to drink, so I'm going to have to get my hands on a glass of Six Rivers Raspberry Lambic somehow. A trip to California later this year perhaps...

Six Rivers Brewery was founded in McKinleyville, California, in 2004 by Talia Nachshon, Meredith Maier, and a group of investors. Nachshon had earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration from Humboldt State University and was at one time a bartender in college and even at Club Med, and she handles the Restaurant and catering events. Maier is the marketing guru behind the brewery’s distribution growth and increased brand awareness who received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of Massachusetts Amherst. She juggles promoting the restaurant’s nightly entertainment acts, supporting a number of charitable causes, fulfilling product requests for national media and celebrity events, all while expanding distribution.

Together, they turned the restaurant into a profit-generating powerhouse and ramped up their beer distribution. As a sponsor of L.A. Fashion Week, they quickly broke into the Hollywood publicity scene. Their brews were recently featured in Everyday with Rachel Ray magazine and appeared on the CBS Television reality dating show, EXCUSED. Six Rivers’ brews have been poured for a myriad of well-known places and events including celebrity suites at the Oscars and Emmys, The L.A. Supper Club, the Brown Derby, L.A. Fashion Week and at the L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival. Six Rivers Brewery is also requested for movie premiere parties, celebrity birthday bashes and charity events.

The brewery won a silver medal in 2004 and a gold medal in 2005 at the Great American Beer Festival. In 2012, an ownership change left the two women as sole owners of the brewery, only the second female-owned brewery in California. That same year, the brewery collaborated with the four other Humboldt County breweries to produce Saison Du Homboldt. In 2013 they created a limited release beer named Tin Pants Ale (a Steam Beer) to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Humboldt State University (HSU).

Currently Six Rivers has an annual production of approximately 1500 barrels per year. They have 9 varieties of beer with several other seasonal offerings. Their beer is distributed from San Diego to Portland, Oregon, with limited distribution in Minnesota and Nevada. The brewery also offers local wines, has a full bar, live music, pool tables, arcade games, and hosts various events such as karaoke and speed dating.

Six Rivers Raspberry Lambic is a lambic-style fruit beer made with 480 lbs. of whole raspberries in a seven barrel batch. Weighted average on ratebeer.com is 3.23 out of 5.
