Ohio Tap #5 - 2 Tones Brewing
2 Tones Brewing |
2 Tones Brewing tap handle uses elements of the brewing process - barley and hops - as the main focal point of the tap handle. The diamond shape centerpiece allows for the handle to be interchangeable among the various beers the brewery distributes. This particular handle sticker is for the Round Town Pumpkin Ale - which has ties back to the brewery owners.

The two gentleman behind 2 Tones Brewing Co (Anthony and Tony) have been lifelong friends, growing up together in Centerville, Ohio. They started homebrewing and won the 2013 Barley's Brewing Homebrew Competition, which was in its 18th year of existence and is still going strong today. Their goal was to start a brewery and their business model was one of distribution versus an onsite taproom. In August 2016, they were entering a crowded beer market with many beers on draft - so what's the best way to stand out? A UNIQUE TAP HANDLE, of course! This tap handle was designed to catch the eye - and it definitely does the trick!
Back to Circleville - it's also the home of the Circleville Pumpkin Show, which features nothing but pumpkin, from Wednesday through Sunday during the third weekend in October. 2 Tones Round Town Pumpkin Ale is available during the Circleville Pumpkin Show and features the Circleville Water Tower in the image.
If you are in Ohio during late October, it is Ohio's oldest and largest festival, but get there early, because the town of 12,000 sees nearly 100,000 visitors per day!
