Tap Handle #114: Coors Rattlesnake

Tap size:  10.75"
Rarity:  Very Rare
Mounting:  internal 3/8" nut

It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...this has to be one of the most beautiful taps in the collection, whether you like snakes or not! The paint job and color scheme are fantastic (including the creepy green eyes), and the gloss finish feels right at home on this deadly reptile. Coors would often pair their regular beer's tap with a Coors Light tap so that together they were part of a theme. That is the case here where the Coors Light version is the snake's tail (which you will see in the next post). The tap is extremely rare, so be prepared to pay quite a premium for it...if you can find it.

    1. I sculpted this tap back in 1995 . I was one of 3 sculptors in the mold room at Century Manufacturing out of Wichita KS. The Interger Group from New York NY commissioned the tap from us for Coors. An interesting bit about my snake here is that once I had finished the piece, The Integer Group sent it back and had me give it more of a smile as you see it now, said it was to real and frightening looking so they wanted to make it warmer with a grin. If you'd like to know more you may find me on Facebook. You'll know its the right profile if you see me playing a Gibson les paul... Black and white photo. Till then, glad you like my work.
