Tap Handle #127: Lucette - Easy Rider Pale Ale
Rarity: Scarce
Mounting: internal 3/8" nut
This tap is a real beauty. The detail is amazing...check out the rims of the tire and the clothing as examples of the fine work. The pretty girl pictured is "Lucette", the sweetheart of the mythical character Paul Bunyan. She is well-sculpted, and multiple finishes were used throughout, from the semi-gloss of Lucette's skin, to a matte finish for the metal and her clothing. The brewery has several other taps featuring Lucette, but I think the face sculpting on this tap is better than some of the others. The tap is extremely rare, I've only ever seen a couple others.

Lucette was founded in 2009 in Menomonie, Wisconsin by Mike Wilson and Tim Schletty. After evolving from the conceptualization phase, the two men had to choose between building a brewery or having a contract brewer. They chose to build a new site on the banks of the Red Cedar River, and the first batch of beer was brewed by 2011. Lucette has brewery tours in which you can sample one of their three beers. They also distribute to local bars and restaurants. They emphasizes transparency in their brewing process and business strategy. The name "Lucette" comes from the farmer's daughter that was the sweetheart of the mythical character Paul Bunyan. The owners chose the name Lucette Brewing Company to pay homage to the history of logging in Menomonie and the surrounding area. Her image appears on all of their tap handles and labels.
Easy Rider is an American pale ale, with an aroma that has scents of pine, citrus fruits, and grapefruit, and has a very clean malt character with upfront hop bitterness and flavor.
