Sherwood Forest is one of those really hard-to-find taps due to a) the brewery being small and b) the brewery being closed. It's a little smaller than I expected, and flat on the backside, making it more of a bas relief style, but it's full of great little details. The art style looks familiar to some other taps I've seen, so I'm thinking this artist has created several tap designs.

Sherwood Forest was founded in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1997 by Dave Lambert. Lambert was a homebrewer that decided to make the leap to starting his own brewery. Sherwood Forest's first brew was Archer's Ale, and for several years it was their only offering. It was only the 3rd microbeer in the country available in a can. The company eventually expanded by producing 3 other varieties. It's unclear why the brewery closed; their webpage is gone and there are no clues to be found. Based on some of the comments about the brand, a recurring complaint was the cartoony appearance of the label, which caused more than one potential customer to walk past the beer.
Archer's Ale was an English Pale Ale amber in color, full bodied, a blend of precisely balanced hops with a hint of sweetness for a refreshing finish. Weighted average on ratebeer.com is 3.05 out of 5.
Since Sherwood Forest is defunct, there is no website. It should not be confused with Sherwood Brewing Company, which is in Michigan.
