Ohio Tap #4 - Queen City Brewery of Cincinnati

Queen City Brewery of Cincinnati Tap Handle
Queen City Brewery of Cincinnati started pouring craft beer in 2016, but their tap handle is a replica of the city of Cincinnati's most iconic symbol, which has been around since 1871.

The Genius of Water (The Tyler Davidson Fountain) is both a statue and a fountain (the water comes out of the outstretched hands!) and is located in Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

The tap handles have a chalkboard section under the statue to allow for an interchangeable nameplate. As you can see from the lineup, the taproom also uses a series of comic book character tap handles for some of their beers. The Superman is for their Hall of Justice IPA, the Joker is for their Why So Cereal IPA, and they also have a Batman handle not shown for their Dark Knight Black IPA.

Not only does Queen City Brewery of Cincinnati use the statue as their tap handle - but the city of Cincinnati is the essence of their entire brand. As you can see - the Genius of Water is literally at the center of their logo.

Their beer flight board contains the city of Cincinnati skyline.
