Tap Handle #25: Pete's - Wicked Strawberry Blonde Victory Pose

The "Victory Pose" is probably the nicest of the Pete's tap handles. It has a gorgeous art deco feel to it, almost a piece of art, that reminds one of statues or hood ornaments from the 1920s and 1930s. Most other Pete's tap handles are plain compared to this one.

Pete's Brewing Company was founded in 1986 in San Antonio, Texas by homebrewer Pete Slosberg and Mark Bronder. It's main product is Pete's Wicked Ale, a brown ale. In 1998 it was acquired by The Gambrinus Company, which also owns Spoeltz brewery and Bridgeport Brewery. Slosberg and Bronder were among the early pioneers of the craft beer movement, committed to using all-malt recipes, as opposed to big brewers who commenly use corn and rice to replace malt for cost savings. Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde is a golden lager with a touch of strawberry. Weighted average on is 2.61 out of 5.
