Cucapa Beer is brewed by Cerveceria de Baja California. Founded in 2002 in the town of Mexicali, Baja, Mexico, they brew 14 varieties of beer. Some of the beers have humorous names based on Mexican culture, such as Green Card, Lowrider, Chupacabra, and Baja Buggy. The Cucapa name comes from an Indian tribe that settled in the Mexicali Valley. Chupacabra Pale Ale is described as having a copper color, with dark caramel, dark chocolate, and roasted nut aromas with citrus marmalade in the finish. Weighted average on ratebeer.com is 3.23 out of 5.
