Tap Handle #358: Big Rock - Warthog Ale

Tap Size: 9"
Rarity:  Rare
Mounting:  standard 3/8" ferrule on 5/16" anchor bolt

Sometimes as I go through the collection, I discover a tap that somehow never made it onto the blog. I've had this Warthog tap for as long as I've had the Big Rock Grasshopper, as I bought them at the same time. I'm not sure what happened that prevented it from getting on the blog, but here it is as the first entry using the new photo display. The lighting was pretty bright, so I'll need to play around with my camera settings a bit. The detail on the Warthog tap is incredible and it's really a beautiful tap. It's pretty hard to come by and has a very strong demand.

More photos and details about Warthog Ale after the jump...

Warthog is a brown ale, a lighter, copper colored version of Traditional, and has a nutty finish reminiscent of fine English brown ale. It's malty with a hint of toffee, balanced with very evident hop and followed by a clean finish. Weighted average on ratebeer.com is 2.6 out of 5.

  1. Great job, I like the new backdrop. Keep up the great work. Just wondering what ever happened to the prices that was very helpful.
