Tap Handle #371: Snowy Mountain Brewery - Saratoga Resort and Spa Teepee

Tap size: 10.25"
Rarity: Very Rare
Mounting:  internal 3/8" nut

There's a simple elegance to this tap that I find appealing. The teepee is solid and well-done...the sticks coming out through the top are authentic-looking, and the base looks like hand-cut logs. It's pretty rare, since the brewery that produced it is in a remote location. I've only ever seen one other besides mine.

The Snowy Mountain Brewery was founded in Saratoga, Wyoming in 2009 by the Saratoga Resort and Spa. The resort was built in the 1950′s in a valley beneath the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and the one million acre Medicine Bow National Forest, and has a middle-of-the-last-century ambiance. The pub, with a throw-back to the wild west, is adorned with big game mounted on the walls and bar stools made with six-shooters and saddles. The resort is also home to the famous Saratoga Hot springs, a 9 hole golf course, and a fine dining restaurant. The brewery boasts 8 to 10 different varieties throughout the season and is one of the fastest growing microbreweries in Wyoming and surrounding states. The name “Snowy Mountain” is fitting for the brewery as it sits adjacent the majestic Snowy Range Mountains.
