Tap Handle #390: Spoetzl - Shiner Smokehaus

Tap size:  10.25"
Rarity:  Rare
Mounting:  internal 3/8" nut

Shiner has some great tap handles but this is one of their best. Made to look like the smokestack of a smoker, it has some gorgeous airbrushing that gives it a weathered metal effect. Lots of little rivets add a higher level of detail. Decals have been added stating "Mesquite Smoked Helles Style Beer" and on the side it says "Sommer Brau". The front and back are identical to each other, and the sides are identical to each other as well.

Spoetzl's Shiner Smokehaus is a smoked beer, brewed with pale malt that has been smoked with native mesquite in the backyard of the brewery. This refreshing Helles-style beer has a smoky flavor that goes great with all the flavors of summer.

Ratebeer weighted average:  2.84 out of 5
Beer Advocate:  73 out of 100 (okay)
