Tap Handle #586 - Rivertown Pumpkin Ale

Tap size:  9.25"
Rarity:  Very Rare
Mounting:  internal 3/8" nut

While Rivertown's Pumpkin Ale is not retired like their previous beer I posted about in profile #493, Hop Bomber, it does feature the obsolete version of their label; however, the tap is still in use by the brewery. It features a grinning, evil-looking pumpkin on top of a pedestal of green corn stalks. The label is directly under the pumpkin, and the words "Pumpkin Ale" are recessed into the pedestal. The colors are bold and beautiful, and capture the feel of autumn perfectly. When acquiring this tap, keep in mind that it is very fragile, and it is not uncommon to find chips in the pedestal base or pumpkin, and sometimes the stem is completely broken off. Due to the beer's seasonal status and the tap's low production numbers, it can be hard to find; the ease with which it can be damaged makes finding an undamaged one difficult as well as expensive.

Rivertown's Pumpkin Ale is a fall seasonal that blends dark sugars, fresh pumpkin and a selection of memorable harvest spices that come together in a well balanced, medium bodied, rich, copper-hued ale. With just enough sweet to balance out the spice, this is how Rivertown does pumpkin pie.

  1. One of my all-time favorites - both the beer and the tap!
